TEXTURE

Before Apple purchased digital publisher Texture, I worked on the design and development of digital ads for the app.

Creating data-driven, digital ad units allowed for granular targeting based on a user’s interests. Relevant magazine titles pertaining to those interests would populate the creative. Seasonal events, pop-culture, and news would dynamically affect which issues were featured in the ads.

Engagement emails were sent to subscribers, asking them to vote for the 2017 Best Picture during The Oscars. The voting percentage in the email was connected dynamically to the landing page, where users could vote in more categories or read excerpts from magazines covering the event. This was a simple yet effective method of presenting Texture’s content in an interactive way.

RESULTS

As a freelancer, I was hired during the Fall/Winter season as the designer responsible for a vast amount of digital assets that required continuous customization and development. By keeping campaigns consistent and fresh, we were able to establish a strong customer base for Texture that appealed to larger entities as an acquisition worth obtaining.
